Then and Now: Shingle Springs twins Nic and Tristan Puehse started skating on age 6 on Scooby Doo boards from Target at the Cummings Family Skate and Bike Park in Folsom. Now the 10 year old expert skateboarders have more than a dozen major sponsors and travel far and wide for competitions.
Screen Time: The boy's Youtube videos have been viewed more than 6 million times, and they star in a movie set to come out in October. "It's a kids' adventure, not a skate video," says father Michael Puehse. The twins have a deal for two more movies, and Disney and Nickelodeon execs have met with them to discuss future film and TV projects.
Round and Round: "I hope I can get a 720 in this next video," says Nic about a trick where skater and board spin two full revolutions in the air. "I've been working on a 360 flip," says Tristan, where the skater's board rotates completely around under the skater in the air.
Well Grounded: "One thing I've told them since the beginning ," says Michael. "Be good skateboarders and great people."
